Building Process
Every vehicle is custom designed by our
design engineer team to meet customer specs
All models are designed in-house using
solidworks 3D modeling software
Komo multiple spindle, high speed, CNC router
used to cut parts from non-ferrous materials such as aluminum, brass, wood and plastic for module body and interior cabinet parts
TrumpF TC200R high speed cnc punch machine
with .0012" repeatablity, used to make precision parts from aluminum and stainless steel for
tight tolerance assemblies
Cincinnati 135AF cnc hydraulic brake press
with .0004" ram repeatability used to form
parts for assemblies to exacting tolerances
Integrated solidbody construction - module parts are welded together to maximize strength and safety, no tape or adhesives used in solidbody construction
The exterior of the module is constructed using fully welded seams - solidbody construction - safer...stronger...better
Our module finish process begins with a 10 stage process that includes accoustical foaming, and preparation of the substrate
The interior of the module is coated with a polyurethane coating for a high pressure laminate free interior
The pain process includes utilizing our heated downdraft paint booths, sanding and buffing the modules for a smoother mirror-like finish.
Our graphics engineer will design and install a custom graphics package.
All chassis prep functions are completed per OEM specifications to Ford QVM, International, Chevy, Spartan, GM, Dodge requirements.
The module is bolted to the cab with(28) 5/16" grade 5 bolts and nylock nuts evenly spaced along the sides and rooof of cab. The module body is securely fastened to the chassis fram rail with(10) 12mm bolts with rubber insulating spacers.
Custom built power distribution quarters are pre-built and fully tested prior to installation in an ambulance body.
Mastertech III multiplex control system is programmed to control all electrical functions, system interlocks, load shedding and management with real time diagnostic monitoring and feedback.
Custom interior wood or aluminum cabinets are designed and assembled for every customer order.
All wiring is labeled with guage, circuit number and function description every 4" to match the AS-built detailed electrical schematics(example:F-18-04-LeftGrille-VT); all harnesses are sonic welded.
Our quality assurance team performs a road test and an 800 item check-off list to ensure the vehicle is completed to the customers specifications.
Pre-delivery inspection and "four corner" weight distribution inspection pit allows customers to inspect and underside of their finished ambulance.
